"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and come to visit you?'
"The king will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me'" Matthew 25:35-39
Noah's 1st birthday shown below
At about 1 year old, Noah's tongue turned purple one day. No one was sure why or what was going on. He didn't have any signs of having difficulty breathing any time we took him in to the ER or anywhere else. And, as always, by the time we got him to a specialist to see him, his tongue looked normal again. His ENT doctor scheduled a sleep study as a result to make sure he was not having breathing problems. Although, at times, he does have difficulty breathing, the results of the sleep study were normal. And shortly after that, his tongue quit turning purple.
These pictures of Noah were taken during the sleep study. It was only a week after the above picture. This is a good example of how the swelling in his face fluctuates from week to week.

Following the episode of his tongue turning purple, the rest of the year was fairly uneventful. We learned a lot about him and how his lymphatic malformation affected him. He seemed to be sick a lot and would run high fevers. They always seemed to be 104 degrees and up. When he would get sick, his cheeks would swell up, and sometimes look "rosy". After a few months of sporadic high fevers, we began to realize that they didn't always accompany other symptoms of being sick. At times, he would run a fever over night and be fine the next day. Then he would skip a day and run a fever the next day again. He continued to have sporadic fevers for no apparent reason.
